RIDGID FlexShaft cables are essential for providing flexibility, cleanliness and efficiency of high-speed FlexShaft drain unblockers.LiveCore cables are the standard, most flexible cable that can be used forwards and backwards. These cables are gold-coloured and offer you the most flexibility. LiveCore cables act like a spring when cut, so the ends should be fused before you cut a damaged section of the cable again.DeadCore cables are a stiffer cable, ideal for milling and heavy-duty descaling. These cables are black in colour and should only be used in the forward direction. The construction of the DeadCore cable allows you to cut off damaged sections without the risk of the cable unwinding.Repair couplers are available for the 1/4" (6 mm) and 5/16" (8 mm) DeadCore cable, exclusively for use with the K9-102+ and K9204+.

- Repair coupler - Eliminates the need for a press coupler. Easy to maintain in the field with 2 keys. Compatible only with the K9-102+ and K9-204+.
- Flexshaft® lubricant - Flexshaft lubricant with PTFE (Teflon) reduces friction and wear on FlexShaft cables when they are inserted in the drain. Each cable used should be lubricated monthly. When the outer sheath is lubricated, cables can also more easily pass right-angled bends in cast-iron pipes, allowing the cables to be raised further in pipes. The lubricant is water-resistant and has a long life and stable viscosity.
